DIFFERENTIALS SERVICE
Proper maintenance like gear oil servicing goes a long way towards extending the life of a differential, but gears eventually wear out, seals deteriorate, and axles fail. At Transwest we can repair, rebuild, or replace your differential, depending on the issue and your specific needs. Whether you need your fluid level checked or an entire differential overhaul, our technicians have you covered. We use OEM or better after market parts to keep you on the road.
Diesel Engine Repair
Our fully equipped mobile service trucks include cranes, OEM diagnostic software for Detroit Engines, Cummins, and more to get your heavy duty commercial trucks and RV's back on the road.
DOT Inspection
We provide DOT inspections to keep you in compliance with DOT regulations. The Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration requires all commercial vehicles to undergo annual DOT inspections. The evaluation will look at parts and accessories to ensure they are in good condition and working properly.
Overhead Adjustments
The primary reason for running an overhead is to prevent gradual degrading of the engine performance, and in extreme cases to prevent engine damage. Accurate adjustment of the overhead clearances is a must for obtaining optimal engine performance, and fuel economy. Most engines require an initial overhead between 50,000 and 100,000 miles depending on engine manufacturer. After the initial overhead, most engines will need application overhead adjustments in 300,000 to 500,000-mile increments depending on the application.
